Santa Vittoria Exhibition

A Century of Archaeological Research

SERRI

Serri pays tribute to the long history of archaeological research at the Santa Vittoria Nuragic sanctuary with an exhibition hosted in the former Monte Granatico premises.

The exhibition, entitled “Santa Vittoria di Serri – A Century of Archaeological Research”, was inaugurated  in November 2025) and offers the public the opportunity to admire for the first time the Taramellian artefacts — testimonies of the first investigations conducted by Antonio Taramelli in the early twentieth century.

The exhibition traces one hundred years of excavations and research at the Santa Vittoria site, from Taramelli’s pioneering explorations to the most recent studies conducted by the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and the provinces of Oristano and Southern Sardinia.

The initiative is organised by the Municipality of Serri and the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, in collaboration with the University of Cagliari, the Petrass Foundation and the Laghi e Nuraghi Tourist Consortium.

A project of great scientific and cultural value that enriches the visitor experience at the Santa Vittoria archaeological site and returns to the community and visitors a wealth of discoveries that continues to shed light on Nuragic civilisation and its legacy to the present day.
